Fives Machining Systems has a long history in manufacturing dating back to 1884. It was founded as Cincinnati Screw and Tap before becoming Cincinnati Milling Machining Company in 1900. In 1970 the company became known as Cincinnati Milacron, one of the most widely recognized machine tool builders in the world to this day. After several sales and acquisitions Fives Group purchased the Metal Cutting and Composites divisions in 2013.
